My girlfriend's PC has completely lost its ability to connect to the internet after she shut it down due to a minor issue. When she turned it back on, the WiFi option is visible but it doesn't show any available networks at all. We've tried various troubleshooting methods, but nothing seems to work. The WiFi adapter appears to be functioning normally in the device manager, so we're stumped on what to do next.

I bet the internal WiFi antenna might be disconnected. I've seen that happen before, especially if she often shuts down her PC with the power button. Just a thought from my years in IT!
Have you tried uninstalling the WiFi device from device manager, rebooting the PC, and then reinstalling it? That can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
I did try that previously, but I didn't reboot in between. I thought maybe doing it the right way would help, but unfortunately, it didn't.
Honestly, if you think you've tried everything and still can't connect, maybe you haven't actually explored all your options. There could be something simple you're missing.
Like what? I'm open to suggestions!
Try going to settings, then network and internet, and click on advanced network settings. Disable and enable the WiFi there. Sometimes a quick toggle can bring it back.
Thanks! We just gave this a shot, but still no luck. Appreciate the suggestion, though!
Yeah, that's been on my mind too. She does unplug it sometimes, despite my warnings.
