Why Can’t My Laptop Find My Wi-Fi Network?

I'm having a frustrating issue where my laptop doesn't detect my Wi-Fi network, despite it being visible on other devices, including my phone. All the surrounding networks show up fine, but not mine! I've already tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps like uninstalling McAfee, running the troubleshooter, and updating to the latest drivers. Is there anyone out there who has an idea of why this might be happening?

First off, check if your Wi-Fi is broadcasting on a 5GHz band; some older laptops have trouble picking that up. If it's dual-band, see if you can connect to the 2.4GHz instead.
