Why Can’t My PC Run Games on High Settings?

I'm having a tough time getting my PC to run any games on settings higher than ultra-low at 60 FPS, despite having a 1440p ultrawide monitor capable of 144 FPS. I've had display refresh rate issues before, which caused crashes in games like COD, but now with a new display, things still aren't working. I'm getting an error verifying the integrity of game files for F1 24, even though it runs fine on low settings. Additionally, when I try to increase graphic settings in iRacing, the game crashes, and I've even experienced a couple of blue screens.

I've done quite a bit of troubleshooting including reinstalling Windows, using DDU to clean my graphics driver, and testing different NVIDIA driver versions (currently on 366.16). I've adjusted screen resolutions and refresh rates, but nothing seems to help. I've seen others with the same hardware get much better performance, so I'm really confused about what's going wrong with my setup. Here are my rig specs:
- **OS**: Windows 11 Pro
- **CPU**: Intel Core i5-11400F @ 2.60GHz
- **RAM**: 16.0 GB
- **Storage**: 931.5 GB SSD
- **GPU**: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti

I noticed your monitor is set to 60Hz. That might be limiting your performance! You should definitely check your Windows display settings to make sure it’s set to the correct refresh rate that matches your monitor's capabilities. Letting games run at a higher refresh rate can make a big difference in performance!

Yeah, I had to set it to 60Hz just to get the games running. If I try to change it, they won't run at all.

Have you checked for any crash logs from your blue screens? Those dump files can reveal a lot about what’s going wrong. If you can access Windows, look in C:WindowsMinidump and upload any files there. Using a trusted file-sharing site can help for others to analyze it. It’s super helpful to see multiple logs if something funky is going on!
