Why Did All My PC Fans Stop Working Except for the GPU Fan?

Over the last few days, my PC has been acting up. While gaming, it suddenly shut down, and now I've noticed that all the system fans have stopped running, except for the GPU fan. My dad built the PC but isn't being very helpful with troubleshooting, saying it's a BIOS issue. I don't really understand this stuff, but I did some digging and found that the fan control software shows no speed sensor signals for any fans except the GPU. I tried enabling the smart fan mode in the BIOS, but that didn't help either. They don't seem to respond regardless of the temperature. I just want to get back to my games, but I'm feeling pretty lost. My last PC never had these kinds of problems!

It sounds like it could be a simple connection issue. Try opening up your PC and check if all the fan connections are secure. Sometimes, dust can cause issues, but if your PC is only a couple of months old, that might not be it. Just make sure everything is plugged in properly, especially if you’re using a fan hub. If it's still not working after that, consider connecting a case fan directly to a different header on the motherboard to see if it responds.

You should also check the CPU fan. If that one isn't working either, it might point to a bigger problem with your motherboard or power supply. Since your GPU fan and power supply seem fine, the motherboard could be having an issue with the fan headers or a faulty fan hub if you're using one. Trying a different fan header or isolating the fans can help narrow it down.
