I sent my Beats Fit Pro earbuds in for repair and received a repair quote from Apple that I declined because it was too pricey. However, I was surprised to find that they went ahead and repaired (or possibly replaced) my earbuds anyway. I only have the basic limited warranty that came with the earbuds, and I didn't purchase any additional coverage like AppleCare. I'm curious why they would proceed with the repair after I said no. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Did you receive any invoice with your earbuds? Also, check if the serial numbers on the replacements are different from your originals.
Did they end up charging you for the repair? I'm wondering if they might have done it at no cost, especially since there's no AppleCare involved.
I didn't give them my credit card info, so I doubt they charged me for anything. I really don't think they would have done that without my consent.

No invoice came with the earbuds and the serial number is still the same.
