Why Did My Battery Jump from 34% to 79% After Restarting My Phone?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra that I bought six months ago. Recently, I've noticed that the battery drains way faster than it used to; for instance, it went from 100% to 46% in just three hours, which seemed really unusual. Today, when my battery showed 34%, I restarted my phone, and it jumped to 79%. Should I be worried about my battery being faulty or is this a normal occurrence? I'd really appreciate any insight! <3

This kind of thing happens pretty often! To recalibrate your battery, many people suggest charging it to 100% and then letting it discharge completely to 0% twice in a row. It might help your phone better understand its true battery life.

I had a situation where my phone was stuck at 80% and wouldn’t charge. After a restart, it corrected itself and showed the right level at 20%. It might just be a glitch in the system.

Your phone's battery % is based on estimates from sensors and might not always be spot on. When you restarted your phone, it likely recalibrated, correcting the reading. You can use apps like AccuBattery to get a more precise read on your battery's health and performance!

Yeah, this is actually a common issue with smartphones! Sometimes the battery indicator gets a bit wonky and doesn’t reflect the real charge accurately. So, don’t stress too much about it just yet!
