Why Did My Computer Suddenly Shut Down and Won’t Turn Back On?

I'm really worried that my computer might be damaged. I was just watching some videos when suddenly my PC turned off completely, including all the lights. I tried reconnecting the power supply but it only powered the motherboard and wouldn't start up. I've already attempted to turn it on several times, but the power supply seems okay, and I'm just hoping my CPU and GPU are still fine. For reference, I have a 750W Be Quiet Straight Power 10 Gold supply. Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?

Don't panic just yet! It's unlikely you've fried any components. It might be an issue with Over Current Protection (OCP) kicking in. If there's a sudden spike in current, the PSU will shut itself off to protect the system. I dealt with this often when I had a 3080 that had similar spikes. Testing your setup with a more robust power supply could help pinpoint the issue. Let me know how it goes!

I’m planning to take it in for diagnostics tomorrow since I’m feeling super stressed about it.

What are your specs? It might help narrow things down if we know what you're working with.
