Hey everyone! My girlfriend's computer has been running smoothly for over a year. She played some games last night and turned it off. This morning, when she tried booting it up, she encountered a blue screen and was given options to restart or troubleshoot. She opted to restart, which usually helps, but this time it didn't work. The system booted, but the displays were completely blank. I've tried a few things like holding the power button for a soft reset, which let me access the BIOS a couple of times, but after trying to change some settings and exiting, the screens went black again. I even pulled the plug to reboot, but now I can't even get back into the BIOS. Earlier, I managed to start in safe mode, but that wasn't helpful either. I also toggled the fast boot option in BIOS without any luck. I'm running out of ideas here. Here are the specs I know: PSU: Corsair VS650, SSD: Kingston A400 120 GB, RAM: HyperX DDR4 2400 MHz, GPU: Asus Strix 1060 6 GB OC, and the CPU is currently unknown, but I don't think it's the issue since I could access BIOS. Any thoughts?

It sounds like you might have a problem with the SSD. If you're unable to boot into Windows and just get a black screen, that's a common symptom. You mentioned you could access safe mode earlier, which is a good sign, but if it’s acting up now, the SSD could still be on the fritz. It might be worth checking the connections and ensuring everything is seated properly, especially if you’ve moved any components around recently. Have you tried any diagnostics for the SSD?
Checking connections is a great first step! Sometimes it's just a loose cable. If all else fails, you might want to consider trying a different SATA port or a friend's SSD to test.
I thought the same thing at first, but since I was able to boot into safe mode a few hours ago, I just don’t think the SSD is completely dead. Maybe it's a different issue? I've updated the full specs if that helps!
