Why Did My Graphics Card Change to Nvidia P104-100?

I just got a new PC, and initially, it showed that I had an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070. Everything was running smoothly until one day, while trying to play a game, I noticed my frame rate dropped to 7 fps. I thought it was just a game issue, so I searched for solutions, but when I opened Device Manager, I saw that my graphics card listed was actually an Nvidia P104-100. I've tried everything I could find online, and even updated the drivers for the GTX 1070, but nothing has changed.

It sounds like you might have a graphics card with a BIOS switch. One side could be set to P104-100 and the other to GTX 1070. Check out this link for a comparison of both models: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/p104-100.c2981. Both cards share the same GPU core, so it might just be a matter of switching the BIOS if that's the case.

Hey, how would I actually change the BIOS switch if I have one?
