Why Did My Internet and Ethernet Drop After Shutting Down My PC?

Hey everyone, I powered off my computer before bed a few days back, and when I turned it on the next morning, I noticed that both my internet and Ethernet options had vanished. My computer seems to recognize that it's connected, and apps don't indicate that it's offline, but I can't access the internet at all.

Other devices in my room are still working with Wi-Fi and Ethernet, so I initially tried reinstalling the drivers for my ASUS Z790V WIFI motherboard, and even used a third-party USB Ethernet and a USB Wi-Fi adapter, but nothing worked. I reset my network settings through both the command line and control panel, and ran the Windows troubleshooter. It reported "No DNS server is assigned" and mentioned that "Windows networking services might not be running as expected." My PC detects all connections but still shows "No Internet Access."

Now I'm worried that my motherboard might be damaged and that I'll have to send it in for repairs, which could mean weeks without my computer. However, I feel this might be a software issue rather than a hardware one, especially since using another adapter didn't solve it. I'd appreciate any insights or help you can offer!

Have you tried a Network Reset? It’s a feature in Windows 11 that often helps with similar issues. You can find it in Settings > Network & internet > Advanced network settings. It might clear up the problems you’re facing!

I gave that a shot, but it didn’t help—still no internet access even after restarting.
