I recently encountered a troubling situation when my iPhone ran out of storage. After clearing up some space, I noticed that all my notes had vanished completely. While the notes saved in iCloud uploaded back to my phone, everything else seemed to have disappeared. For instance, I keep a note titled "Dreams" where I jot down my dreams, and the last entry is from January 2024, even though I had saved one just a few weeks ago. Additionally, a chapter of a story I was working on was deleted, though I managed to save it elsewhere. Without a backup, I'm devastated by the loss of my notes. I've contacted Apple support, cleared around 10GB of storage, and updated my iPhone to the latest iOS, but nothing has helped. I'm feeling really frustrated with this situation.

I totally feel for you. I’ve sorted my files and family documents in iCloud too, but when issues arise, it can put you in a tough spot. I had similar problems with important files being unexpectedly deleted. Definitely make backups!
Yeah, I get your pain. I've learned not to let my phone get more than 85% full to avoid these kinds of issues. It's a good habit to keep some space free.
It's really strange for notes to just disappear like that when your storage is full. Usually, they shouldn’t delete themselves due to storage issues. Maybe there's something else going on? You should double-check your settings or storage management.
No way, that's not the case! Something must have happened aside from the storage problems. I've looked it up, and it sounds like there's more to it.

This has actually happened to a lot of people, though. It’s a common issue, and Apple has acknowledged it. It’s worth looking into.
