Why Did My PC Suddenly Stop Producing Sound?

Last night while I was working, my PC's audio just cut out entirely. Now, I can't hear any sound from any of the audio devices connected to my computer. I've done a lot of troubleshooting, including turning off audio enhancements, plugging my headphones in and out, checking the volume levels in the sound mixer, and restarting my PC.

Here's what I've already tried that didn't resolve the issue:
- Restarted the Windows Audio service (Win+R to open run, then typed services.msc and restarted the "Windows Audio" service).
- Disabled, uninstalled, and reinstalled my audio device.
- Updated and reinstalled my RealTek audio drivers.
- Tested my headphones and speakers on other devices, and they work perfectly fine.

Have you checked the Volume Mixer to make sure your system is set to the correct output device? Sometimes it can get switched to something else. It might help to double-check that your external speakers are selected instead of any other device.

Try opening the old sound settings window by pressing Win + R and typing "mmsys.cpl". From there, right-click on your main audio device and test it. If it doesn’t work, there might be a hardware issue. If it does work, consider disabling other unused sound devices and restart your computer.

I just tried that and got this image. Does it mean anything?
