Why Did My Phone’s WiFi Signal Drop to One Bar?

I've been having issues with my phone's WiFi signal. My Realme C51 was working fine until a few hours ago, but now it's dropped to just one bar. I restarted both my phone and the router, but it didn't help. I left my phone in a room that usually gets full bars, and when I came back, it was down to one bar. Now I have to stay within a 3-meter radius of the router to get a good signal. Any advice on how to fix this?

Have you checked if the issue is specific to just your phone? Try using another device, like a laptop or a friend's phone, to see if they experience the same problem. Sometimes there can be interference from other networks or devices like microwaves, especially in shared living spaces. If you're comfortable, you could change the WiFi channel in your router settings. Some apps can help analyze your network to see if another device is causing issues.

I'm 15, so I can't really change any settings on the router myself. I'll see if other devices connect okay, though. Thanks!

I checked another phone and a tablet, and it looks like it's just my device that's having trouble.

It sounds like your phone's WiFi might just be having a rough day. Sometimes, if there are no VPNs running or you've disabled DNS features, it could help improve things. It's good to hear that the signal got a bit stronger, but intermittent drops might indicate interference from other electronics nearby.

Yeah, hopefully, it's not a permanent issue like a dying Wi-Fi chip! Just some temporary interference.
