I recently bought a refurbished iPhone 12 from Amazon, claiming it was in 'excellent condition,' and initially, the battery health showed 100%. However, after just two months of moderate use, it has declined to 88%. I charge once a day using optimized charging and mostly use apps like TikTok and messaging. I've also noticed that I can't get more than about 2 hours of screen time before the phone dies. I understand that refurbished devices might not perform like brand new ones, but I'm really concerned about how fast the battery is degrading. Do all refurbished phones generally have inferior batteries compared to new ones?

The issue might stem from the quality of the battery that was used during refurbishment. If the refurbisher cut corners, they may have used a cheaper battery. Generally, if you buy refurbished phones from reputable companies, they should have new, genuine parts.
Is it wise to avoid all refurb phones on platforms like Amazon? I'm thinking of returning mine and looking for a different one there.
