I recently got an automatic update for Facebook, and afterward, my Phone Master app flagged it as a risk. I didn't manage to screenshot the notification, so I'm wondering if this was a false alarm or if I'm just being paranoid. I checked the app for a history of detections, but it doesn't seem to keep one, and Facebook isn't listed among the apps. A while back, I accidentally clicked on a suspicious link and used Phone Master to check for malware, but it reported no risks. I've also read that newer Android and Apple devices have strong security measures that prevent infections. Is that true?

You're right to be cautious! The newer Android and Apple devices have pretty solid security features, which usually means they’re not that easy to infect. Just keep an eye on what apps you download, and you should be good.
If your phone is up to date, just clicking a link shouldn't automatically infect it with malware. Usually, malware gets onto devices by installing random apps. By the way, the Phone Master app itself raises some flags—it sounds a bit fishy to me.
