I recently bought a power strip that includes USB-C and USB-A ports. However, I've noticed that when I turn on my LED lights, my monitor lights also turn on at the same time. Is this a normal feature of the power strip, or could it be a fault? How can I fix this issue?

From what you described, it could be a quirk of your setup. Often, power strips have indicators or switches that affect multiple outlets. If it has a red indicator light, it may suggest it's set to auto-switch, which could be linking your LED and monitor together.
You might be using a "Smart" power strip. Some models have a "control" outlet that detects when a device turns on—like your computer—and automatically switches power to the other outlets. If this is the case, you could be inadvertently triggering multiple devices at once.
It sounds like you might have a standard power strip, which typically turns all outlets on or off together. If your power strip doesn't mention individual outlet control in its specifications, then it's likely designed to power everything at once. So when you switch it on, everything plugged in, including your LED and monitor, gets power.
