I'm having a bizarre issue with my refurbished Lenovo laptop, which is running Windows 11. After I did a fresh reinstall of Windows, I installed Chrome and everything was great at first. I could open it and browse without any problems, and even restarted my laptop multiple times. However, after leaving the laptop off overnight, Chrome started crashing. The window opens briefly and then just closes without any error message. I also tried other browsers like Opera and Firefox, but they all have the same issue. The only browser that works fine is Edge.
Here's what I've already tried:
- Fresh reinstall of Windows 11
- Disabled Intel AMT/ME in BIOS
- Tested portable Chrome but still have the same issue
- Deleted all Chrome user data and profiles
- Performed a Clean Boot with only Microsoft services running, but the crashes continue
- Used launch flags (`--no-sandbox`, `--disable-gpu`), which didn't help
- Checked the Windows Event Viewer but only found warning messages, nothing related to Chrome
- Edge is working perfectly
- I don't have any antivirus or tuning software installed
- No Chrome/Google policies in the registry
- Disabled Exploit Protection and Controlled Folder Access, still no luck
So, has anyone else faced this problem, particularly with non-Edge browsers crashing right after launching on a Lenovo or refurbished business laptop? I'm out of ideas on what to check next!

When exactly did the crashes start happening? Did it coincide with a Windows update? Sometimes these updates can mess with browser functionality, especially if your laptop had any specific drivers that are unstable with the new version of Windows. Just a thought!
It sounds frustrating! Since other browsers are crashing too, it might be something with your system settings or drivers. Have you checked to see if there's a problematic driver installed? It might help to update your graphics and chipset drivers to the latest versions.
