Why do I hear weird screaming noises when I call from my wireless phone?

I keep hearing these bizarre scream-like noises on my wireless phone whenever I make a call, and it's really freaking out my family. Honestly, my tech skills aren't advanced enough to figure this out. It feels like it could be a virus, but interestingly, it only happens when I'm the one calling. If someone calls the landline, everything works fine. I checked the settings, thinking there might be some strange redirection going on, but I didn't find anything suspicious. Since my phone connects through my router, I suspect it might be a virus after all. I've reached out to my ISP but haven't heard back yet. Any insights would be super helpful!

You should start by rebooting both your phone and the router/modem. Also, try reseating the connection at both ends. It doesn't sound like a virus; it might be a problem with your connection or hardware. By the way, do you hear the noises only, or do the people you call hear them too?

Unfortunately, it goes through fine from my end, but the call never reaches them. I hear the weird noises, and then the call gets dropped. I’ve rebooted everything and checked the connections, but no luck. It’s strange because calls to the landline work normally.
