Why does my 64GB RAM not work with my MSI B650 Gaming Plus motherboard?

Hey everyone! I recently built a new PC with an MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard. Initially, I installed 32GB of CORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 RAM (2x16GB) and it worked perfectly in slots 2 and 4 after a bit of troubleshooting. I decided to upgrade to 64GB (2x32GB of the same model). However, I'm facing a black screen issue when I try to boot with the new RAM, regardless of the slots I use. Is it possible that the new sticks are defective, or could there be compatibility issues despite them being the same brand and specs? Any advice would be appreciated!

Have you checked your motherboard manual to confirm it supports the RAM speeds? The MSI B650 should handle 6000MHz, but it's always good to double-check for any specific compatibility notes with 64GB. Sometimes, even if the specs match, subtle differences can cause issues. Also, try reseating the RAM or using just one stick at a time to isolate potential problems.

Make sure to look at the manufacture date of your RAM sticks. Sometimes the same model might have different internal components based on when they were made, which could lead to compatibility issues. I ran into a similar situation with my setup, and checking the dates helped me figure out the problem!
