I recently noticed that my 14-inch laptop screen, which I set to a resolution of 900p, looks much sharper and clearer compared to my 24-inch 1080p monitor. I feel a bit disappointed with my monitor since the output from my laptop seems blurry and worse on it. Can anyone explain why the 1080p resolution appears less clear than the 900p on my laptop?

The difference in pixel density is likely the reason you're seeing this. A 14" screen at 900p has a higher pixel density than a 24" 1080p monitor, which makes it look sharper. If your monitor isn't set to 1080p correctly, it could also contribute to the blurriness. You might want to double-check your display settings to make sure everything is configured right!
You're correct that 900p on a smaller screen can look clearer, especially since a 24" monitor at 1080p has significantly lower pixel density. If your 24" monitor is older or of lower quality, that could also impact clarity. It’s interesting to note that display technologies like TN vs. IPS can further affect sharpness. Maybe consider upgrading if clarity is essential for you!
I checked the specifications of my monitor, and it’s an IPS with decent ratings. Still, it pales in comparison to my MSI 14" at 900p. I'm really wondering if I made the right choice getting this monitor.
