My ASUS H110M-R works normally with two 4GB Patriot modules running at 2400 MHz, and I also got one 4GB Corsair stick working. However, Timetec, Crucial, and two generic 16GB DDR4 modules are not detected at all. None of the modules are server RAM. I have already updated the BIOS, cleared the CMOS twice, and left the computer running for about 15 minutes after installing each new stick, but nothing changed. Could this be a motherboard compatibility problem, or have I simply had bad luck with the memory kits?

Since the BIOS is already updated and the CMOS has been cleared, I’d focus on compatibility and testing rather than waiting longer. Test each module by itself in each DIMM slot, make sure the sticks are fully seated, and check the motherboard’s memory support list. The H110 platform can be picky about DDR4 modules, especially with higher-capacity or generic sticks. Also confirm that the modules are standard desktop DDR4 UDIMMs—not ECC, registered, or server memory—and try them at the board’s supported default speed.
