I've been having a frustrating issue with my desktop where it constantly freezes after some time of use. The only thing that still works when it happens is the mouse, but I can tell that background apps are still functioning. I'm using Parrot OS, and I'm not sure what else to check. Any ideas?

Hey! It sounds like a tricky situation. Since you're using Parrot, you might want to check if there are any specific programs causing the freeze. Sometimes certain apps can hog resources, especially if you're running anything in Wine. The next time it freezes, try accessing the tty interface by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1-F5 to see if it's just the GUI that's freezing. If you're able to access that, it could help narrow down the issue.
You mentioned you installed KDE Plasma. I know it’s a nice environment, but sometimes it can be resource-heavy. Have you noticed if the freezing coincides with a specific app or action? It’d be good to keep an eye on what you had open just before it happened.
I get how annoying that can be! Just make sure to mention any hardware details or error messages when you ask for help. It can make a huge difference in troubleshooting.
