For the last few days, I've noticed that my display goes black after about 20 minutes of inactivity, but it magically turns back on whenever I approach my computer. I'm using an RTX 3070 and running Windows 11. I'm starting to wonder if this could be a virus, since the pattern feels too coincidental. Can anyone help me understand what's going on?

Honestly, it could just be normal sleep mode. I deal with the same thing! I find it kind of amusing, but just check those settings to be sure everything’s good on your end.
Yeah, it could be that vibration theory. If your computer is on a second floor, and there’s a room below with some hard floors, that might just jostle enough to shake your mouse a little. Just a thought!
Also, keep an eye on the power and sleep settings in the Control Panel. Sometimes screens can be set to turn off automatically. But if you're sure you have it set right, it might just be random vibrations doing the trick.
It sounds like your computer might just be going into sleep mode. When you walk around, you might be causing vibrations that move your mouse or hit a key without realizing it, which wakes everything back up. Have you checked your power and sleep settings to see if your display is set to turn off after a specific time?
I thought about that too, but I have my power settings set to never turn off. It seems weird because it doesn't always happen when I'm inactive.
