I have a 16GB Sandisk Cruzer flash drive that worked fine before, as I've stored photos on it. However, now when I plug it into my USB port and try to access it through the Explorer menu, it freezes every time. I've tested it on three different Windows computers, and the same issue occurs on all of them. What could be causing this issue, and how can I resolve it?

Your drive might be failing or just corrupted. A good place to start is to try accessing it using a Linux USB, like Ubuntu; it often provides better recovery options. If that doesn't work, you could format the drive using a tool like the one from sdcard.org, though be aware you may lose all your files. Remember, USB drives are typically for temporary use and not the best for long-term storage.
What do you suggest for long-term storage? It feels a bit much to buy an external hard drive just for a couple hundred photos.
