So, here's my situation: My GPU seems to work when playing Minecraft, hitting crazy FPS (like 400+), but when I try to launch other games like Red Dead Redemption or Ghost of Tsushima, it just doesn't perform at all. I thought my GPU was broken because it would spin briefly when I turned on my PC and then stop, which led me to ask around for help without much success. After ignoring the issue for a few months, I tried playing Minecraft again and noticed it actually worked. But this leaves me puzzled: why does it only work for Minecraft? In my Task Manager, it shows the GPU is active while I'm playing Minecraft, but for other games, it doesn't even register. I've updated the drivers, but that didn't fix the issue either. Any suggestions or ideas on how I can get my GPU to work for other games? Thanks in advance for any help!

Yeah, I've got an iGPU and realized my display cable was plugged into the motherboard. When I switched it to the GPU, everything changed! Make sure that’s set up right. Just to clarify, if the cable’s in the motherboard, the gaming performance you see, even in Minecraft, might not actually be happening on the GPU. Double-check your Task Manager for GPU load; just because the fans are spinning doesn’t mean it's doing the work.
Have you checked if you have an integrated graphics card (iGPU)? If so, you might want to disable it in Windows or your BIOS settings. Also, double-check that your display cable is connected to the GPU instead of the motherboard—this could be why the GPU isn't utilized in those other games.
