Why Does My iPhone Show 1% Charge After Battery Replacement?

Hey everyone! I recently swapped out the original battery on my iPhone 13 for an official one from iFixit. After I installed it, the phone charged fine and I checked the battery health, which is at 100%. However, every time I restart my iPhone, it shows 1% charge, even though I can use it for quite a while before it actually turns off. I connected it to my MacBook and found out that its real charge is around 86% according to coconutBattery. I'm curious—how can I get my iPhone to accurately reflect the true charge of the new battery? I've done several battery replacements for others before, so I think I connected everything correctly. Any thoughts?

Sounds like there might have been some damage to either the battery or the logic board during your repair. Sometimes if you knock off a tiny component near the battery connector, it can mess things up and cause incorrect readings. I hope it’s just a battery issue and not something worse!

That’s a bit concerning! But if you’re able to see the correct battery charge through coconutBattery, that suggests the actual battery can report its capacity. Maybe the iPhone just gets its charge info from a different source? Are both methods using the same connection?
