Today, my Windows laptop unexpectedly blue screened twice, leading me to the Aptio Setup Utility screen. The first time, I was running several programs, but the second time, it was just a few browser tabs plus a game. Both times, I was able to restart my laptop and resume as normal, but the repeated occurrence is concerning. I had just completed a Windows 11 upgrade before the second blue screen, and I'm worried that might be related. I've come across various possible causes online, from hard drive issues to loose connections, and I'm unsure whether I should be alarmed by this happening twice in a single day. I'd appreciate any advice on whether I should be worried and what preventive measures I can take to avoid this in the future. I already have most of my data backed up, but I want to be proactive if this happens again.

I agree with TechNerd12; it does sound like a potential hard drive issue. If you haven't check already, see if the drive is recognized in BIOS when the problem occurs. If it's not there, that could be a bad sign. Running diagnostic tools can also help figure out if the drive is dying. Keep monitoring for any more BSODs, and make sure you have all your important files backed up just in case!
Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely monitor it and make backups.
It's definitely a bit concerning. When you see the Aptio Setup Utility, it usually indicates your laptop can't find the boot device, often due to hard drive issues. It's important to check if your hard drive shows up in BIOS during these incidents. Also, if you can access Windows, try getting the dump files from C:WindowsMinidump for more insights on the BSOD.
Is it possible that upgrading to Windows 11 has caused this? I've seen some people have issues post-upgrade, but nothing that major.
I did think about that, especially since the second screen appeared right after the upgrade.

Also, consider checking your RAM and other hardware components. Sometimes it’s not just the drive that causes BSODs.
