I recently bought a Nitro v5 laptop and noticed it's only able to connect to my WiFi when I'm using the extender, but not when I try to connect to the router directly. This issue seems to be specific to my laptop since it connects without any problems to my friend's WiFi. I've run the Windows troubleshooting tool, but it only tells me that the WiFi doesn't have a valid IP setting. I'm using Windows 11—does anyone have a fix for this?

First, try rebooting your router. Sometimes a fresh start is all you need. If that doesn't work, you might want to change the router channel to a recommended one. This can help with connection stability.
Have you tried releasing and renewing your IP with the 'ipconfig' command? Just disconnected the range extender completely and check if you can connect directly to the router. It might help clear up any IP conflicts.
I attempted the release/renew while connected to the router's WiFi, but it said "no operation could be performed on .... while has its media disconnected," and that the DHCP client has an IP address already in use. Not sure if turning off the extender will help, but I’ll try that next.

I did reboot the router, but it still didn't help. I’ll give the channel change a shot!
