Why Does My Laptop Shutdown at 77% Battery?

I'm having an issue with my laptop where the battery indicator is always stuck at 77%. The moment I unplug the charger, the laptop turns off completely. I suspect this started after I updated the drivers, but I'm not entirely sure. I've tried reaching out to support, but I didn't get any helpful answers. I'm using Windows 11, 24H2, and I'm looking for guidance on what steps I can take to fix this problem.

It sounds like your battery might be failing. If your laptop shuts down right away when you unplug it, that's usually a sign that the battery needs to be replaced. Check your laptop's warranty or look for authorized service centers for replacements!

It's possible that your BIOS settings got messed up after the driver update. You might want to check the BIOS and see if you can reset it to default. Just make sure to back up your important data before making changes.

Before you panic, you should check if your battery settings are optimized. Sometimes, calibration issues can cause weird behaviors. If you're unsure, look up how to calibrate your battery in Windows 11.
