I'm having some trouble with my Logitech G502 Hero mouse on Linux Mint. It works perfectly on Windows, where the movement is smooth and follows my actions accurately. However, on Linux Mint, when I try to make circular movements, the mouse seems to drift away instead of staying on track, almost like a Spirograph drawing. I suspect it might have something to do with pointer acceleration settings, but I'm not sure how to adjust them in Linux. Any help from fellow Linux users who have experienced this would be greatly appreciated!

Always helpful to include details about your distribution and any specific hardware configurations when seeking assistance! It can make a big difference in getting useful advice.
I use the G502 Hero too, and I've never faced this issue on Linux. Maybe it's just something you need to get used to if you've mostly used it on Windows before.
Try resetting all the mouse settings to factory defaults using the Logitech software on Windows before switching back to Linux. I think some settings might be causing compatibility issues since Linux doesn't recognize all the proprietary firmware modifications from the Windows software.
Have you checked the mouse settings? Go to System Settings, look for the Hardware section, then find Mouse and Touchpad. You can set the acceleration to 'Constant' there, which might help stabilize the movement for you.
I tried that, and it did help a bit! But sometimes it still switches back to that floaty feeling. Any other suggestions?

Yeah, I guess it might just feel different than what I’m used to!
