Why does my monitor randomly go black for a few seconds?

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue where my monitor suddenly goes black for a few seconds, and then it just comes back like nothing happened. This happens a couple of times each day. My CPU and motherboard are a bit older (around 4 years), but my GPU is almost brand new, having been purchased about 4 months ago. The monitor is fairly new as well. I'm worried it might be the motherboard or CPU causing this problem since they are the oldest components in my system. Here are my specs: CPU: i7 8700, Motherboard: B450, GPU: RTX 5060 Ti, and I have dual-channel 16GB RAM along with a secondary monitor.

I get that! If it's not bothering you much, it might be okay to just ignore it for now. But it might be good to keep an eye on it in case it gets worse or starts affecting your gaming or work productivity. Keeping your connections tight and your cables in good shape can help too! Let me know if you find anything else out!

Could be a few things! First, check if your monitor is OLED. If it is, screen burn-in could cause temporary blackouts. But in my experience, it can also be a result of static electricity, especially if you're moving around a lot on a carpet. I had two big 4K monitors that would do this. It might be worth checking if you're accidentally causing any static before it goes black.
