Why does my new monitor have so many stuck pixels?

I've had my LG 27GR83B monitor for about two months, and I just discovered that I have over 50 stuck pixels, especially noticeable when the screen is black. Is this a result of poor quality control from LG? I've initiated a warranty repair, but I'm currently waiting for them to send me the original box since I no longer have it. Has anyone gone through a warranty repair process? How long does it usually take?

Sounds like a manufacturing defect to me. That many stuck pixels usually points to a batch issue from the factory, not something you caused. LG should handle it under warranty, but be prepared that the whole process, including waiting for a replacement box, might take a couple of weeks.

Yeah, I’m hoping it doesn't take too long. I don’t think they send out tracking info either.

It's definitely best to go ahead and RMA it since having that many stuck pixels is pretty rare. Just one or two would be one thing, but over 50 is excessive!

Exactly! I've decided to send it in for repairs. Just waiting on that box to ship it out.
