Why Does My New PC Keep Restarting?

I recently purchased a brand new PC, and I'm experiencing some frustrating issues. It keeps resetting itself, but this only occurs when I'm downloading files, using Krita for drawing, or browsing the web. Interestingly, it seems to handle gaming just fine; I've played titles like Fortnite, The Finals, and God of War Ragnarok without any problems. Here are my specs: an Intel i5 14400f processor, an Asrock Steel Legend ARC B580 motherboard, 16GB of DDR5 RAM (could that be the issue?), and a 750W power supply that was recommended for my build. I'm really looking for any assistance or insights you can provide! If you need any additional details, just let me know!

It sounds like your PC might be encountering a glitch when trying to handle certain tasks, especially if it freezes before restarting. A few things to consider:

1. **RAM Issues**: Sometimes, faulty RAM can cause random resets. Consider running a memory test using tools like MemTest86 to see if your memory is operating properly.

2. **Driver Problems**: Make sure that all your drivers, especially for your graphics card, are up to date. Sometimes outdated drivers can create issues with specific applications.

3. **Overheating**: Ensure that your system isn’t overheating. Check your CPU and GPU temperatures while under load to see if cooling might be a factor.

4. **Power Supply**: While a 750W supply should generally be sufficient, it’s worth confirming that it's providing stable power. If you can, try using a different power supply to see if that resolves the issue.

Let me know how it goes!

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll definitely run the memory test and check my drivers. I've noticed my CPU temps can get a bit high, so I'll look into better cooling solutions too.
