Why does my PC keep restarting when it’s idle?

Hey everyone! I recently built a new PC and it was running great, but over the past couple of months, I've been facing an annoying issue. My computer keeps restarting itself, but only when I'm not actively using it—like when I step out for a bit. I've included my specs below, and I've also copied some critical error messages from the Event Viewer that seem relevant. Any help or advice would be really appreciated! Here are the specs:
- **GPU**: MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER SHADOW 3X OC 16GB GDDR6 DLSS3
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8GHz
- **RAM**: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 3200 PC4-25600 32GB 2x16GB CL16
- **Motherboard**: Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING
- **SSD**: WD Black SN770 2TB Disco SSD 5150MB/S NVMe PCIe 4.0 M.2 Gen4 16GT/s
- **PSU**: NOX Hummer P 1000W PCIE 5.0 ATX 3.0 80 Plus Platinum
- **Cooler**: Tempest Liquid Cooler 360

I've tried a number of fixes but nothing seems to work. The Event Viewer keeps showing the same errors related to driver issues and power management. Any ideas on how to tackle this?

I had a friend with a similar problem; disabling the CPU boost feature helped him. If that stops the restarts, it could indicate some degradation in your CPU.

You might want to start by updating the drivers for your motherboard and the Ethernet controller. Also, checking your BIOS for any updates could help, but be cautious during that process since a failed update can cause issues. Additionally, see if there are any settings like Wake On LAN that are causing this, or consider temporarily disabling the I225-V Ethernet controller to see if that stops the restarts.

First off, turn off hibernation and sleep mode on your PC. If the restarting stops after that, it could be related to power management settings. Also check your power options for fast boot settings and disable those as well, just in case it's skipping some configurations. Another good step is to download DDU to remove your current GPU drivers, and then reinstall a clean version. After that, set your Nvidia control panel to maximum power.
