Hey everyone,
I've been facing a frustrating issue with my PC. After doing a thorough cleaning, I tried to play Valorant, but my computer shuts down unexpectedly just a few minutes into the game. I've ruled out overheating, as both my CPU and GPU are running at normal temperatures.
Initially, I thought it might be a power supply problem, so I swapped out my old EVGA 600 BQ for a new Corsair CX650 80, but that didn't seem to help either. I made sure all the cables are secure and everything is plugged in properly, so I'm stumped on what to do next.
Here's a bit about my setup:
- **Age**: 7 years
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
- **GPU**: Radeon RX 580 Series
- **RAM**: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 16GB
- **Motherboard**: ASUS PRIME b450M-A
I've replaced only the RAM and PSU in the last year. I've heard it could be a failing motherboard or GPU, but I'm looking for some insights and advice on this. Let me know if you need more info!
Thanks a lot! 🙂

Have you tried running OCCT? It's a great tool for diagnosing hardware issues and has a detailed testing dashboard that shows stats for all your components.
Check the Event Viewer for any clues—especially around the time your PC shuts off. Sometimes it can point to specific errors, like Kernel-Power issues, which might help you track down the problem.

It only mentions "Kernel-Power" as a critical error. Not sure what that means for me.
