I need some help with my prebuilt PC that keeps acting up. A couple of weeks ago, when I tried to power it on, the fans went from low to high RPMs and back again. I ended up having to force it off. I suspect it's a PSU issue because when that happened, I noticed that holding down any key on my keyboard made the Num Lock and Caps Lock lights flicker, but they stopped when I let go. I took it to the store where I got it, and they told me the CPU wasn't seated properly in the cooler, which they claimed was the problem. Fast forward to today, it shut down again while I was gaming, and now it's stuck in that same loop. Given the flashing keyboard lights when holding down keys, is it reasonable to think this is a PSU problem? Also, I know I have a no-name PSU since I got it in a prebuilt system. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I've already done the basic fixes like reseating the GPU and RAM.

Have you tried accessing the BIOS? It could help you diagnose the motherboard and see if anything unusual is happening there. Getting to the BIOS menu can give you insights into the hardware status as well.
I recommend installing a monitoring tool like HWMonitor to check your temperatures. Also, it wouldn't hurt to look at your system logs; they often indicate what's causing issues. Just keep in mind, if your PC won’t boot at all, that makes it tough to run any diagnostics. Good luck!
The flashing keyboard lights probably won't relate to the PSU directly, since keyboards use minimal power. It could either be your keyboard acting up or a different USB power issue. Also, while prebuilts are often critiqued for their quality, it really hinges on your budget. Have you checked the BIOS for any overclock settings? I'd suggest running HWMonitor to monitor your system’s voltages and temperatures while trying to get it to boot, and consider doing a CPU/GPU burn-in test to see if anything goes wrong during those.
Sorry to hear about your PC issues! I'm not really a tech expert, so I can’t help directly, but I’m sure you’ll get some good advice here. Good luck!
Thanks for your support! I appreciate it, even if you can't help directly.
Thanks for the suggestion! I've tried to monitor temps with Armoury Crate before, and it didn't show anything critical when it crashed, but I’ll check HWMonitor if I can get it to boot up.
