Why Does My PC Keep Tripping the Circuit Breaker?

I have a switch on the back of my PC along with a power button on the front. Lately, when I turn the switch on and press the power button, the electricity in my room cuts out. This doesn't happen every time, but it's becoming frequent. Is this a sign of a faulty PC, or are there things I should check? Should I consider asking for a replacement?

Something seems off here. First, double-check if your power supply is set to the correct region. Sometimes there’s a switch on the back for different voltage settings. Also, disconnect the power from your PC and see if the power supply runs on its own. If it trips the breaker then, it could be a short in your motherboard.

You might want to check what else is plugged into the same circuit. If you have high-wattage devices like heaters or toasters, they could be overloading the circuit when you start your PC. Try plugging it into a different outlet on a different circuit if you can.

Check the wall sockets in your room; sometimes they share a fuse. If they’re connected, using too much power from multiple devices can trip the breaker. Try figuring out which outlets are on the same circuit and keep an eye on your total power usage.
