Why does my PC only post after booting into Windows?

I'm having a strange issue with my PC where it only starts posting after it boots into Windows. I've already tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps like swapping out multiple graphics cards, performing a BIOS flashback, and even replacing the CMOS battery, but nothing seems to work. I can get into the BIOS, but I can't get a POST signal on either of my monitors or with the two different GPUs I've used. It's puzzling because this started happening out of nowhere—one day it would post to the BIOS, and the next day it just won't. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?

Can you share what motherboard and CPU you're using? Also, which GPUs have you tested? Knowing the specifics might help narrow down the problem. From what you mentioned, it sounds like you have an MSI B450 Gaming Plus with a Ryzen 5 5500, and you've tried both an RX 580 and GTX 1050 Ti, right? That's odd that they used to function normally for POST.

Have you thought about connecting your monitor to the onboard GPU? Sometimes the system defaults to the onboard graphics for POST, which might be why you're only seeing it after booting into Windows.
