I'm having a strange issue with my personal Windows 11 Home PC. It used to run perfectly fine, but recently, Windows Security started displaying messages saying that features like Real-time Protection are 'managed by your organization,' and Tamper Protection is disabled and locked by an admin. The weird part is, I'm the only user on this PC and I have administrator privileges. It's not connected to any domain, Azure AD, or work/school accounts. I've also noticed that certain Microsoft Defender exclusions keep coming back, including one for RuntimeBroker, even after I delete them. I checked for suspicious drivers but didn't find anything, and malware scans are coming back clean. I can't modify some Defender registry keys because access is denied. Considering this is Windows 11 Home, I shouldn't even have group policies available. Has anyone else experienced this on a personal machine? Could this be a corruption issue, leftover policy keys, or something more sinister? Any help would be much appreciated!

Make sure you haven't unintentionally logged in with a company or school account. If you did, it might have given them admin rights on your PC. Check under Settings > Accounts > Other Users and remove any unknown accounts, then restart your computer.
Running a malware scan could definitely help, just to be safe. I recommend using MalwareBytes for a thorough check. It might find something that other scans have missed.
This issue could be caused by certain software that modifies hidden system settings. Things like O&O Shutup10, various mods, or debloaters might lead to those kinds of changes. Keep an eye on third-party tools you’ve used recently that might alter settings.
