I've been experiencing recurring issues with my RX 6800 XT GPU. While it usually performs well in most games, it unexpectedly shuts down during more demanding titles, including Dead by Daylight. I find that this happens after some time in-game, and the only way to fix it is to restart my PC. I've tried using a fan to improve cooling, which has helped a bit, but the problem persists. My GPU temperature reads around 70°C when it shuts down. Any advice on how to fix this?

First off, you should definitely check the hotspot and VRAM temperatures, as those can be crucial in diagnosing this issue. If they’re overheating, you might need to reapply thermal paste and replace thermal pads. Also, I’d like to confirm what wattage your power supply unit (PSU) is.
Is your voltage setting optimized for gaming? Sometimes, incorrect settings can cause shutdowns under load. Just checking all your settings might help identify any issues.
Yes, my PSU is also 850W, so I don't think that's the issue.
Honestly, it might be worth considering a PSU upgrade. An underperforming PSU could lead to these shutdowns, especially when under load during demanding games.
But why would I need to change the PSU if it's rated high enough?

I have an 850W PSU, which should be sufficient for my setup, and my CPU temp is staying pretty low at about 50°C.
