Why Does My Samsung 990 Pro Show Up in BIOS but Not in Windows?

Hey everyone! I'm having a bit of an issue here. I recently upgraded my setup with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and an MSI X870 MAG Tomahawk WiFi motherboard, but I'm stuck because my Samsung 990 Pro SSD shows up in the BIOS but doesn't appear in Windows at all. I initially thought the SSD might be faulty, but I've tested it on other systems and it works perfectly there. I also have a 256GB SSD that runs without any issues. The problem is that my PC won't boot if I only have the 990 Pro connected, and I'm really not sure how to get it recognized by Windows. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Are you sure it doesn't show up in Windows Disk Management? That's the place to check for unallocated drives or partitions. If it’s not there, that’s a problem.

Yes, it doesn’t show in Disk Management either. It always says it’s not found.

If it's not appearing in Disk Management, it could be due to the BIOS settings. Check if the mode is set to RAID instead of AHCI. Sometimes, changing that can help Windows recognize the SSD better.

That's a good point! I’ll try that, thanks!
