Why Does My WiFi Adapter Show a Different Name in Task Manager?

Hey everyone! I was checking if I need to update my WiFi adapter drivers and noticed something odd. My WiFi adapter is a Rosewill RNX-AC2030PCE, but in the Task Manager under the Performance tab, it's showing as an Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9260 160MHz. I couldn't find my adapter on Rosewill's site anymore either. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a simple explanation for this? I'm worried I might not be using my adapter correctly and I could be losing performance. Thanks for any help!

It’s actually pretty common! Rosewill often brands products without manufacturing them themselves, so your adapter might just be using an Intel chip. If everything's working well, you probably don’t need to worry about updating drivers unnecessarily. But if you do, just head over to Intel's site to get the right drivers.

Thanks for clarifying that! I didn't realize they just rebrand other products. Can I ask something else about my adapter?
