Hey everyone,
I'm really frustrated here. The only game causing issues is PUBG, as it keeps restarting my PC after about 15 to 20 minutes of playtime. No freezes, no blue screens—just a sudden reboot. The only error I see in the Event Viewer is "Kernel Power 41 (63)", which isn't very helpful.
Here are my specs:
- **CPU**: Intel i9-14900KF (liquid cooled)
- **GPU**: NVIDIA RTX 4080
- **RAM**: 32GB DDR5 @ 6000 MHz (XMP enabled)
- **PSU**: 1000W Gold-rated
- **OS**: Windows 11 (cracked version, which might be relevant)
I've also tried quite a few things to fix the issue:
- Enabled XMP, then downclocked my RAM to 5000 MHz
- Changed CPU power plans (Max 99%, Min 99% and 10% tried)
- Fully uninstalled my antivirus and removed leftover files
- Ran Windows verifier (which led to a BSOD pointing to `hal.dll`)
- Executed `sfc /scannow` and `DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth`
- Diagnosed RAM and SSD (no issues found)
- Reinstalled PUBG and NVIDIA drivers cleanly
- Tried different DirectX modes (DX11, DX11 Enhanced, DX12)
- Monitored temperatures, and everything looks fine.
The only thing I'm worried about is that the cracked version of Windows could be causing this, especially since it seems PUBG's anticheat could crash systems if it detects tampering.
I'm at a loss and willing to clean install Windows if it will help, but I want to make sure first. Any suggestions? Thanks!

It sounds like you've done a lot of troubleshooting! One thing to check is whether your Intel CPU has the latest BIOS updates, as the 13th and 14th gen CPUs are known to have some issues. You should definitely apply any updates that address these degradation problems. There's been plenty of discussion about it in the community, and keeping your firmware current might help stabilize your performance in PUBG.
You mentioned that you're running a cracked version of Windows. That could definitely be a major factor, especially if PUBG's anticheat detects it. Many players have had similar issues with their systems crashing due to OS tampering. I suggest considering a legitimate version of Windows to see if that resolves the issue. Sometimes, it’s just not worth the hassle of the cracked version in the long run.
Totally agree! I had a similar experience, and switching to a legitimate version fixed my crashes. It might be worth the investment!
Yeah, I've seen those issues mentioned too! I hope the updates make a difference for you.
