My laptop frequently freezes, and I learned that restarting Windows Explorer could help. However, I've noticed that every time I do this, the memory usage keeps climbing, reaching around 4500MB before it crashes my computer. Does anyone have a solution for this issue?

It sounds like you might be dealing with a memory leak from a program or possibly some malware. Make sure to run a thorough malware scan; sometimes, malware can be pretty sneaky and not coded well, leading to these issues.

I regularly scan with Malwarebytes and have found a few threats that I quarantined, but the problem still persists.
