Why has GPT-4 become more restrictive with intimate scenes?

I've seen this change too! The quality of writing feels so much more bland lately. It's annoying when you're trying to create something compelling.

I've noticed that too! For me, it was always a bit restrictive, but lately it seems to have gotten a bit better. When it says "no," sometimes you just have to argue with it or switch up the conversation for it to be responsive again.

Yeah, I faced something similar where it would just stop responding with, "I can't continue..." I even tried a different chat to figure it out. Sometimes it lets through explicit scenes, but it really depends on how the content is framed. If it gets too explicit too fast, the filters kick in.

It's definitely changed over time. I started having better luck after I began telling ChatGPT it could respond however it wanted, without restrictions. It seems to bring back the depth in the responses, which is a relief!
