I've recently built a new PC with an RTX 5080 GPU, Ryzen 9 9900 CPU, and 32 GB of RAM. I'm experiencing an issue where DWM (Desktop Window Manager) is consistently using 1700MB of memory. This problem has been present since I got the computer about two weeks ago, even after a fresh start. I have two monitors set up: one at 1440p 144Hz and the other at 1080p 120Hz. I've also updated all drivers and ensured Windows is fully updated. Any advice on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

Just to clarify, when you say DWM, you mean the Desktop Window Manager, right? That process typically handles all the visual effects in Windows. If it’s using that much memory, it might be linked to the iGPU issue or potential memory leaks in the drivers.
It could be that the integrated GPU in your CPU is still enabled, which can cause DWM to use more memory than usual. You might want to check your settings to see if the iGPU is active. Another suggestion is to use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely wipe your GPU drivers and reinstall fresh ones. Sometimes conflicts with drivers can lead to issues like what you're experiencing. Here's a guide on how to use DDU: [link to guide]. Let me know if that helps!

Thanks for the tip! I'll check the iGPU settings and try the driver uninstallation when I get home.
