I recently upgraded to a 1 Gbps internet plan after confirming that my LAN cables were good for that speed. Everything works fine on my brother's PC, but I'm having issues on mine. I've already installed the latest drivers for my Gigabyte B760M Gaming X DDR4 motherboard, but that didn't solve the problem. I'm looking for advice on what checks or adjustments I might need to make to get my connection working properly.

You might want to consider your router setup. What type of router are you using, and are there any switches between it and your PC? Also, give WiFi a shot to see if that works better. If you're using a WiFi extender, check what speeds it can support; it might be limiting your connection.
First, you should check the lights on your modem to see what speed is being displayed. Is it showing 100 Mbps or 1 Gbps? Also, try switching the LAN cables to see if there's an issue with the cable you're currently using.
