I've recently noticed that my boot SSD has logged over 3TB of data written in just five months, which seems excessive. I've only saved around 600GB on it, but I understand that boot drives are written to regularly—especially during shutdowns and sleep mode. Is this level of writing normal, or should I be concerned about my SSD's health? For reference, I'm using Windows 11.

The high write numbers you're seeing could be due to several factors like Windows updates, temporary files, and cached data from your browser. Windows 11 tends to add its own 'mystery sauce' as well that contributes to this. So it might just be normal activity that's driving those write numbers up.
So you're saying this is typical? I do tend to have a lot of browser tabs open—does that make the cache writes worse?
