Why is my C drive full when I can’t find any large files?

I recently noticed that my C drive is nearly full on my Windows 11 Galaxy Book S (SM-W767V). The system claims that my applications are using around 180GB out of 220GB, but I don't have any apps that should be consuming that much space. Can anyone help me figure out where all this storage is going?

I had a similar issue, and it turned out I had a lot of temporary files building up. Even after cleaning them out, it felt like they returned too quickly. If you're looking for a longer-term solution, you might want to consider upgrading your storage; something like 512GB or 1TB would really help.

The Disk Cleanup app can definitely help, but it sounds like you might have already tried that and only freed up a couple of GB. I recommend using WizTree or WinDirStat to get a clear view of what files and folders are taking up space on your drive. Just make sure you don’t accidentally delete any system files!

Yeah, I gave WizTree a go. It showed me some huge files I didn't even know were there. Thanks!

Definitely check out WizTree! It helped me pinpoint large files that I needed to deal with. Just be cautious about deleting anything that looks important to your system functioning.

I tried that! It helped me find and delete some unnecessary large files. Problem solved, thanks!
