I've been dealing with this annoying issue for about ten months - my Chromebook keeps telling me it's 'connected, no internet,' no matter if I'm using my home Wi-Fi or public networks. It's gotten so bad that I can't access the internet at all. I even tried a factory reset after reading some advice online, which was a hassle because I had to back up my stuff and still lost a few things. Now I can't even set it up because I'm still stuck on the 'connected with no internet' screen. I'm in a tough spot since I don't have another laptop or the funds for a new one. Everything else seems to be working fine, it's just this network problem that's driving me crazy. Any suggestions?

Just a quick thought – with some devices, especially those running on certain Windows versions, there are issues connecting to 5GHz networks. I know it's a Chromebook, but make sure your Wi-Fi network is on 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz and see if that does the trick. If it works, keep your network drivers updated!
Have you thought about trying a wired connection? If your Chromebook has an Ethernet port or if you can get a USB-to-Ethernet adapter, it might help you connect directly to your router. Also, have you restarted your router? You should check if other devices are working fine with your Wi-Fi. If they are and your Chromebook isn't connecting at all, it could be a problem with the Wi-Fi card or the antenna.
I recommend checking for any updates on your Chromebook. Sometimes, simply updating to the latest software can resolve connection issues. If that doesn’t help, visit the support site for your Chromebook model. They might have known issues listed or specific solutions for this problem.
